World Can't Wait | Drive Out the Bush Regime
Bush Crimes Commission returns to UC Berkeley and arrives at Stanford University PDF Print E-mail

Audio clips below. The Bush Crimes Commission Campus Tour returned to UC Berkeley to kick off the West Coast leg of the tour on May 3rd.

A crowd of 350- 400 people attended the Bush Crimes Commission event that brought together a powerful group of whistle blowers, government defectors and speakers who all spoke to

(1) acts the Bush Administration has committed that shock the conscience and rise to the level of crimes of humanity and

(2) why these need to be the terms of the debate, very broadly throughout society. Larry Everest, author of “Oil, Power, and Empire: Iraq and the U.S. Global Agenda”, made a very compelling case for war crimes and crimes against humanity to frame and fuel the discussion in society and for this to provide a moral imperative to ACT in forms of massive and courageous acts of resistance. Larry Everest can be heard by clicking here. When a UC Berkeley student and World Can’t Wait organizer introduced the event, from the audience, when he read the name of the tour; “ Speaking the Unspeakable: Is the Bush Regime Guilty of War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity?” he was showered with a loud response of “YESSSS!!!” Daniel Ellsberg, author of “ The Pentagon Papers” joined the panel and provided a comprehensive and insightful talk on U.S war moves toward Iran. His speech can be heard here. The entire event, including an introduction by a UC Berkeley student who works with World Can’t Wait- Drive out the Bush Regime, Craig Murray and Janis Karpinsky is also available in audio form. [stream audio here] In the aftermath of a very powerful demonstration at Stanford University where over 1,000 students forced President Bush to move the location of his meeting with fellows at Stanford's Hoover Institute, the Bush Crimes Commission tour drew 250 students and professors to hear from Craig Murray, Janis Karpinsky and Craig Murray. More news on the Stanford event and upcoming tour dates coming soon.
